About My Life in Pixels

What is My Life in Pixels?

My Life in Pixels is a free web app that shows your entire life as a grid of weeks, one pixel per week. You enter a date of birth and see 52 columns by 90 rows: 4,680 weeks, with the ones you have lived filled in. You can color periods and moments, share the grid as a link and export it as a PNG.

What is the privacy promise?

  • No account, no login, no email address.
  • No cookies and no advertising trackers, so no cookie banner either.
  • Visits are counted with Clicky, without cookies and with anonymized IP addresses.
  • Your date of birth and milestones are stored in your browser’s localStorage and nowhere else.
  • A share link carries your grid inside the link itself, after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to a server; only your name and percentage are used for the link preview.
  • One button, “Reset my data”, removes everything.

Frequently asked questions

Who is behind My Life in Pixels?

Monto Bleu BV, a Belgian company based in Tremelo, builds and maintains the app. The company details and a contact address are at the bottom of every page.

How does My Life in Pixels make money?

Right now it does not. The grid, the share link and the PNG export are free and will stay free. A high-resolution poster file and a framed print may be added later as paid extras. There are no ads, because ads would need tracking and a cookie banner.

Can I trust the privacy claim?

You can check it. The site has no login and no database. Open your browser's developer tools, watch the network tab while you use the tool, and you will see that your date of birth and milestones are never sent anywhere.

Can I suggest a feature or report a bug?

Yes, by email at hello@mylifeinpixels.com. Views in months or years and a daily mood pixel are already planned.
